Planning for the National Scout Regatta 28 is well underway with only four months to the start on December 29th.  Britannia are involved in the planning and will be involved in running the event.  We have a large contingent taking part and are hoping for good Wellington weather.

See below for a short form regatta program which will let you know when your scout is taking part in an event.

The Britannia Scout hall has been the home for many scouts over the years and like all homes it is in need of a refresh.  Time, the tides and weather have extracted their toll on the building and the committee have started a project to refurbish the hall.  This will be a major project and has a number of primary objectives, below are a couple:

1. Raise the hall above the level of the sea.  Climate change has seen the sea levels rise, currently "King" tides flood the hall and in the past when they have coincided with a storm front the hall has been damaged.

2. Freshen up the building decor and strengthen the structure.

 

This project has now been underway for nearly a year and great progress has been made in prodcuing a series of concept designs.

What's Happening @ Britannia

 

The Britannia 90th Jubilee will be held in early 2018.  All ex-members are invited to the celebration.
