Supporters
Britannia Sea Scout committee would like to acknowledge all our generous sponsors for the support they have given to Britannia Sea Scouts.
Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club
Thanks to EBYMBC for all their support and allowing Britannia to host events like our annual camp dinner at the clubhouse.
Eastern Suburbs Sports Trust
ESST has provided funding for a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy. The new Sunburst will allow our members to develop sailing skills in a modern lightweight dingy and will enable them to be competitive in local sea scout regattas.
Four Winds Foundation
Funding provided by the Four Winds Foundation has enabled us to buy new sails and send a number of Britannia Sea Scouts to first aid courses.
Grassroots Trust (formerly Infinity Foundation)
The generous support of the Grassroots Trust has helped Britannia purchase lifejackets, WHF radios and skipper course training for our Rangatahi.
NZ Community Trust
The support NZCT has provided has allowed the group to purchase a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy to replace a plywood Sunburst damaged at a previous regatta. The new Sunburst will allow our members to develop sailing skills in a modern lightweight dingy and will enable them to be competitive in local sea scout regattas.
Lion Foundation
The support Lion Foundation has provided has allowed the group to purchase a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy to supplement our current fleet.
Pub Charity
The support Pub Charity has provided has allowed the group to replace a number of old hike tents with new lightweight hike tents. This will allow our members to actively take part in activities they were unable to previously. The new hike tents will allow small groups to participate in broader scouting activities which will foster their development as well as group camps.
New World
New World Chafers has provided money for the group through their community fundraising initiatives. Whenever someone shops at New World Chafers people have the option of stamping their receipt at the information desk and putting it in the Britannia Box.
Watermark
Watermark Signs has provided a new sign for the Evans Bay scout hall. This sign replaced the old faded sign and is a great addition to our hall. The only downside is that it highlights the need for the hall to be painted..... but that's another project.
