Supporters
Britannia Sea Scout committee would like to acknowledge all our generous sponsors for the support they have given to Britannia Sea Scouts.
Nautical Marine Construction and Maintenance Ltd
Thanks to Lee Cuthbertson and the team at Nautical for your great work repairing our boat slipways and repiling under the hall. Thank you!
ONE Foundation
Funding provided by ONE Foundation has enabled us to repair and replace our north and south boat slipways, so our rangatahi can get the boats out of the boatsheds again. Thank you!
Lion Foundation
The support the Lion Foundation has provided has allowed us to undertake urgent pile repairs under our sea scout hall. Previous Lion Foundation funding has allowed the group to purchase a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy to supplement our current fleet.
Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club
Thanks to EBYMBC for all their support and allowing Britannia to host events like our annual camp dinner at the clubhouse.
Grassroots Trust (formerly Infinity Foundation)
The generous support of the Grassroots Trust has helped Britannia purchase lifejackets, WHF radios and skipper course training for our Rangatahi.
NZ Community Trust
The support NZCT has provided has allowed the group to purchase a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy to replace a plywood Sunburst damaged at a previous regatta. The new Sunburst will allow our members to develop sailing skills in a modern lightweight dingy and will enable them to be competitive in local sea scout regattas.
Eastern Suburbs Sports Trust
ESST has generously provided Britannia with funding over several years. We are very grateful for ESST funding for a new fibreglass Sunburst sailing dingy, day skipper courses and first aid courses for our scouts, venturers and leaders.
Pub Charity
Funding provided by Pub Charity has enabled us to repair and replace our north and south boat slipways, so our rangatahi can get the boats out of the boatsheds again. Previous support from Pub Charity helped us replace a number of old hike tents with new lightweight hike tents.
Four Winds Foundation
Funding provided by the Four Winds Foundation has enabled us to buy new sails and send a number of Britannia Sea Scouts to first aid courses.
New World
New World Chafers has provided money for the group through their community fundraising initiatives. Whenever someone shops at New World Chafers people have the option of stamping their receipt at the information desk and putting it in the Britannia Box.
Watermark
Watermark Signs has provided a new sign for the Evans Bay scout hall. This sign replaced the old faded sign and is a great addition to our hall. The only downside is that it highlights the need for the hall to be painted..... but that's another project.
